We’re Steve and Sally, farmers who’ve built Simply Spraying into a trusted agricultural spraying contracting business in Mid Canterbury, around the service we always wanted: fast, accurate, trustworthy, and personal.
Our Story
We’re a small, local team that knows both sides of the fence. As second-generation farmers running 320ha near Lauriston, we understand how important timing and accuracy are when it comes to spraying.
That’s why we’ve built Simply Spraying to be the local spraying specialists Mid Canterbury farmers can rely on.
We combine hands-on farming experience with practical qualifications in farm and crop science. We’re committed to getting the job done right the first time, with modern tech, well-maintained gear, and the capacity to move fast when the weather window opens.

Steve
Operations Manager
Steve runs the day-to-day operations at Simply Spraying while also managing the family’s 320ha farm in Mid Canterbury.
As one of the region’s trusted spraying specialists, Steve brings over 20 years of farming experience to every job.
He specialises in crop and pasture management, and is always looking for smarter ways to improve efficiency and results through innovation and precision technology.
When he’s not in the field, Steve enjoys family time, supporting his kids’ sports, and heading outdoors fishing or skiing.
Sally
Agronomy & Soil Consultant
Sally brings over two decades of hands-on experience in agronomy and soil fertility to both her consulting work and the family farm.
With a background in crop science and soil management, she plays a key role in optimising yields through smart planning and collaboration with field reps.
As an agronomist and part-time fertility consultant, she balances her professional expertise with raising a busy family, leading the agronomy side of their cropping operation.
Outside of work, Sally enjoys horse riding with the kids and catching up with friends.
